As I was leaving my last visit to the Petit Trianon, I found these lovely little mementos of trysts kept long ago....2 journal pages filled with the story of a secret romance and a corroded shrine to the petit queen herself!
I am being tutored in Fashion Illustration. After 4 weeks, I finally attempted a watercolor illustration. For this one, I traveled to fairyland to be a guest at the annual Fairy Fashion Fete...hosted by the forest dryads this year. The first costume I gazed upon was this lovely Maidenhair evening gown made of gossamer spider silk dyed with moss dyes and beaded with a fern motif. The shoulder has a stand up beaded fern ornament. Just in time for dancing amongst the morels in spring!
Last night I visited Candy Land and the Queen sent me home this morning with the gorgeous little candy cup basket! Isn't it perfect for hiding your secret stash of chocolate? I think it needs a few Godiva truffles..raspberry filled starfish...or Thornton's Continentals! Mmmm....This was handcrafted by the Queen in vintage and new materials. She mostly used the Paris kit available on Birds of a Feather at Etsy! She makes such YUMMY crepe paper ruffles!
I specialize in watercolor with pen and ink, mixed media and mail art, including art dolls. I love creating and sowing the fertile soil of my creative mind with new art techniques or subjects.
Some of my favorite subjects to paint include: Marie Antoinette, Alice in Wonderland, mermaids, fairies, mushrooms and Candy Land. I like to paint my own visions of these things.
I am a born again Christian. Fundamentalist Baptist, to be exact. I am serious about my faith, it is my life, which is why I include it here. As I believe one day, I will stand before the Lord and give an account of every word and every opportunity to share the Gospel, I present the Gospel on this page and possibly in any materials I send out. I do not do this to be obnoxious. I do it to obey my God and my faith. Please be as tolerant and understanding of my faith as you would want me to be of yours. Yes, I would like you to be saved, because I believe it is the only way to Heaven. But, I respect you as a person, no matter what decision, lifestyle or faith you may choose.
I believe the following about salvation:Becoming a Christian is simple. It only requires belief. It cannot be earned in any way. It is the free gift of God.1. Admit you are a sinner and that you need a savior. That is, YOU can do NOTHING to save yourself. Romans 3:23. Admit that God sent His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross in your place. John 3:16 and Romans 6:23. Believe that Jesus rose the third day, thus gaining the ultimate victory over death for all eternity! Romans 10:19. Ask God to forgive you and to give you new life in Christ. Repent of your sins before God and ask Him to make you a new creature in Christ Jesus. Romans 10:19. You can have peace and eternal securtiy in Christ! Romans 10:9 and Romans 10:13. If you still have doubts as to Jesus Christ and God's plan for salvation, please read the Gospel of John and the book of Romans carefully. Ask God to reveal His truth to you.
